A BOUTIQUE CHILDCARE CENTER
redefining your child’s second home
We offer a safe and loving community of families, educators, and children while establishing a foundation for learning in a family-like, quality and developmentally appropriate environment that supports the social, emotional, motor and cognitive growth of little learners.
Bringing a historical property back to life is not for the faint of heart. The original home was built in 1874 and home to the Douglas County Superintendent of Schools, George Lord. We are extremely proud to tie this prime location back to its roots, a place that loves developing Castle Rock’s youth. Our location allows us to provide an interactive experience in our community for the kiddos that is one of a kind.
Our classrooms will be staffed with amazing highly skilled teachers, to love and nurture each child and their individual growth. Each trained in early childhood education and the development in young children. All teachers will meet local and state licensing regulations as well as other ongoing ECE development that will help continue their knowledge of young children.
Are you looking to enjoy Castle Rock and their local events? Festival Park is usually at the center of it all and so are we. Take a few hours for yourself, we will be there to support you and the kiddos.
Looking for some time to focus on the leaders of your pack? Friday and Saturday nights, we will provide drop-in services so you can enjoy the local restaurants or events.
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool is the #1 ranked curriculum and empowers children to be confident, creative and caring learners through play-based, hands-on investigations, a researched-based approach that incorporates language, literacy and mathematics throughout the day.
Located at the heart of Castle Rock, right next to Festival Park, our little learners will be a part of the community and an urban environment; regularly walking just a few blocks to the brand new library, interacting with the fire department, police station, enjoy nature walks along Sellers Gulch and East Plum Creek.
Our meals will be catered to focus on the nutritional needs to develop the minds and bodies of our little learners.
Amy Lewison, my wife and the Director of The Little School on Perry St, worked in public education for ten years. Her work primarily focused on special education in various settings from elementary to high school. When we had our first child, we built and operated a licensed small, in-home childcare in our basement so that she could be home with our son while providing quality programing for other families. After three boys, I joined the team, making the little operation a family affair. We grew our program to become a large, licensed in-home childcare facility. Our passion for nurturing, guiding and teaching little learners became more than just a dream of ours, it’s becoming our reality! We are excited to take the next step by growing into a commercial facility while maintaining the feeling of a family run, in-home childcare center. We invite you to join the family and learn how we can nurture, guide and teach your little learners.

The families we work with become a part of our family. We are excited to grow our tight-knit community.
The little ones will have their own space, 6 weeks to 18 months. We know how hard it can be to leave your littles but you can find solace in our attentive staff.
We have two toddler rooms, 19 months to 24 months, and 25 months to 36 months. Our experience tells us there is a lot of growing in the Toddler phase.
There are two pre-school classrooms that will share a space, with an operable dividing wall. We want to prepare our older kids for the next phase in larger classrooms, while still having multiple teachers.
